You all had lots of fun learning about how the earth, sun and moon with Mrs Hardy this week. Did you know Mrs Hardy used to teach science in the high school......she is so clever!!!
You also drew a picture of the relationship between the earth, sun and moon. Can you explain to me what the above picture shows?
There are lots of sites on the right hand side of the blog to view which might help you :)
Taryn I know you went home sick that day, have a look at the sites and this might help you, also ask Reilly, I'm sure he remembers from last year!!

It shows the Earth rotating on its axis which takes 24 hours. Also the Earths resolution around the sun takes one year.I can see the moons resolution around the Earth.
Dear Mrs Henry, I was feeling sick today in my tummy. I hope you have a great long weekend.
This picture shows the Sun, the Earth and the Moon.
The Earth moves around the Sun. This is called a revolution and it takes about 1 year or 365 days. As the Earth moves around the Sun, it turns on it's axis. This is called a rotation which takes 1 day or 24 hours.
The Moon makes a revolution of Earth. It takes the Moon about 27 days to go all the way around the Earth. Like Earth, the Moon also rotates on it's axis. The Moon's rotation takes about 27 days.
Hi Mrs Henry. I really liked the science lesson with Mrs Hardy. The shadow experiment was lots of fun!

The axis is not veridical it is tilted on its orbit. It causes seasons. A revolution takes 1 day or 24 hours to spin around the sun.
A rotation takes 1 year or 365 days.
The moon goes around the sun.
The picture shows the moons rotation around the Earth, the Earths rotation around the Sun and the Earth rotating.
Alice
The picture is showing the moon rotating around planet earth .And planet earth is rotating
around the sun.

The earth is rotating around the sun and the sun does not move and the moon rotates around the earth. It takes a year for the earth to have a revaluation.

The earth is orbiting the sun and the moon is orbiting the earth. The earth is on a tilt.
The picture shows how Earth rotates around the Sun, and the Moon rotates around the Earth by the direction of the arrows and the labels.
The earth is moving around the sun with the Moon moving around the earth, this is called orbiting.
The picture above shows the Earth rotating around the Sun. It takes 1 year or 365 days to do this.
Emmy
the earth rotating around the sun the moon is rotating around the earth it takes 1 year/ 365 days for a revluation .
The earth rotates around the sun and the moon rotates around the earth.

The picture above shows that the Earth is on a angle because that causes the seasons. That the sun doesn't move but the Earth dose and the moon rotates to while the Earth is still rotating. When it is day time in the United States it will be night time in Australia.
Mary
The sun stays still while the earth rotates (which takes one day) and at the exat same time goes around the sun. When the earth goes aroud the sun once it is called one revolution (which takes one year). The moon goes aroud the earth but it doesn't rotat like the earth.

Hello Mrs Henry I hope everyone does good. At reading at mass on Friday or at Commniun.
P.S Hot potao is really fun!

The earth moves around the sun and it takes 365 days or a year. The sun stays in it's place and planets move around the sun. The moon goes around the earth it takes a day to go all around the earth.
MAX
The earth rotates on a angle.
It takes one year or 365 days or 12 months
The earth sarks AR awned the sun the moon sarks AR awned the earth.

The earth moves around the sun and takes 365 days or a year. The sun stays in the same spot. The earth spins on a angel wile it rotates around the sun.
The moon rotates around the Earth. The Earth spins while going around the sun. And the sun sates right where it is 20,4,7.
